Mary Longhorn has 25 years hands-on experience in technical and managerial roles in the food industry, including:

• Responsiblity for a microbiological laboratory for a major food manufacturer.
• Consultancy for a major UK practice.
• Participation in MLC and EC policy studies.
• Installations of hundreds of Risk Assessments / HACCPs for food premises.

She has a degree in Biotechnology, the advanced diploma in Food Hygiene and a NEBOSH Health and Safety qualification. She is a registered trainer with REHIS. She is also an associate member of The Royal Environmental Health Institute for Scotland, a fellow of The Royal Society of Health and a member of IOSH.
